Job description

Position Summary

The painter is responsible for painting the interior and exterior areas of the property. This position is also responsible for ensuring apartments are painted and made ready for move-in, as well as assisting the maintenance team with service requests as needed. Familiar with a variety of the departments concepts, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Paints the interiors and exteriors of apartments, interior hallways and community spaces in accordance with company guidelines and responding to them promptly, efficiently, and professionally.
  2. Completes drywall repairs as needed in apartments, interior hallways and common area spaces in accordance with company guidelines, responding to them promptly, efficiently, and professionally.
  3. Ensures all work areas are neat, clean, and orderly after painting or when work orders have otherwise been completed.
  4. Ensures maintenance supplies are in stock and, at direction from supervisor, orders supplies while staying within planned budget.
  5. Assists supervisor with scheduling and communicating with vendors and contractors and may assist in obtaining bids from outside contractors as well as oversee contractor work.
  6. Schedules, monitors, and performs work order requests from supervisor, community staff and residents as needed.
  7. Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
  8. Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
  9. Participate in safety and job training as requested and required. Conducts safety and job training
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
