Woodfords is growing an seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Early Childhood Services (ECS) and Special Purpose Private School (SPPS) programs. Services will be provided onsite at our SPPS Program in New Gloucester, ME! We are located on the beautiful Pineland Farms campus with access to scenic walking trails, organic market, seasonal events, & more!

Additionally, this role includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Position Summary

Woodfords' ECS and SPPS programs serve learners PreK–5th grade diagnosed with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Services are delivered in a therapeutic, treatment-based educational environment, where interdisciplinary collaboration is central to student success.

As the SLP, you’ll play a vital role in helping students build communication skills, confidence, and meaningful connections—while working alongside a highly supportive clinical and educational team.

The Speech Therapist will provide direct (on-site) speech therapy services to a case load of students and assist the program in completing the following:

  • Provide direct, on-site speech-language therapy to a caseload of students

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations for initial placement and ongoing progress monitoring

  • Develop individualized Plans of Care, quarterly progress reports, and discharge summaries

  • Participate in IEP, IFSP, and family meetings as scheduled or required

  • Collaborate closely with Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Teaching Staff to deliver cohesive, student-centered programming

  • Provide training and guidance to teaching staff around speech and communication goals

  • Supervise speech assistants in accordance with Maine Board of Examiners requirements, as applicable

Opportunity Details

  • Full-time, center-based position
  • Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm
  • $70,400 - $85,000 per year
  • $2,500 Sign-on Bonus + Relocation assistance eligibility!

Qualifications

  • Must have a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders
  • Must possess good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
