ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative team that challenges the status quo? Our client is seeking an Infrastructure System Administrator (Network Engineer) based in Dallas, TX to join their Technology & Infrastructure team. This team is focused on innovation, reliability, and delivering high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment. As a key member, you will provide technical services across computer hardware and software environments, administering, configuring, monitoring, and testing application servers that support business and network operations. You will also play a vital role in designing and implementing network infrastructure, overseeing structured cabling, conducting network performance testing, and maintaining detailed documentation. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Administer, configure, monitor, and test application servers supporting business and network operations
  • Design and implement network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points
  • Oversee structured cabling and coordinate with contractors and vendors for IDF/MDF setup and patch panels
  • Monitor backups, patches, and upgrades, and respond to critical issues impacting production and system environments
  • Conduct network performance testing and validation for throughput, redundancy, and failover
  • Maintain documentation such as network diagrams, IP address allocations, rack elevations, and equipment inventories
  • Collaborate with systems, security, facilities, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Recommend and implement new technology solutions alongside senior engineers
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and ITIL-based incident management processes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to network and infrastructure systems
  • Support internal services including network management (LAN, WAN, WLAN), server deployment, storage management, application management, relationship management, audio visual services, and communications and hospitality-focused technologies
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Experience designing and implementing network infrastructure (Cisco switches, routers, wireless access points)
  • Ability to oversee structured cabling and coordinate with contractors/vendors (IDF/MDF setup, patch panels)
  • Proficiency in network performance testing and validation (throughput, redundancy, failover)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in network and system environments
  • Ability to maintain technical documentation (network diagrams, IP allocations, rack elevations, inventories)
  • Collaboration skills with systems, security, facilities, and operations teams
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 and Catalyst (9300, 9200CX) switches preferred
  • Familiarity with Cisco Webex Calling, CUCM, UCCX preferred
  • Experience with VMware ESXi, Dell storage systems, Brocade FC switches, and SANNAV preferred
  • Experience with hospitality platforms and guestroom technology solutions is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
