Job Title: Residential Restoration Technician I Location: Paducah, KY Department: Maintenance Division Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | 40 Hours per Week Reports To: Senior Maintenance Mechanic / Residential Restoration Specialist Position Overview The Residential Restoration Technician I is responsible for assisting in the restoration and modernization of vacant and designated housing units. This position performs a wide range of residential maintenance, repair, and general labor duties to help reduce vacancy rates and restore units to occupancy standards. This is a full-time term position contingent upon project completion needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Practice and maintain all safety standards and PPE requirements Perform residential unit repairs and modernization tasks Clean and prepare vacant units including sweeping, mopping, washing, debris removal, and disinfecting Install and repair drywall, sheetrock, insulation, wood and metal framing Perform painting, texturing, and finishing work Repair or replace plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, drains, valves) Repair or replace electrical switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, breakers, and fuses Install and repair doors, windows, locks, cabinets, and mailboxes Perform light HVAC servicing and furnace assessments Install appliances and perform general carpentry work Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintain assigned work vehicle and tools Write clear and detailed work completion notes Adhere to HUD regulations and Housing Authority policies Complete assignments efficiently and participate in ongoing training Behavioral Competencies Integrity and ethical conduct Strong interpersonal skills Clear oral and written communication Problem-solving ability Flexibility and adaptability Technical Competencies Residential and building maintenance knowledge Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC skills Attention to detail Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs Ability to read basic building plans Safe use of tools and equipment Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Minimum two (2) years of residential or commercial maintenance/construction experience Maintenance certifications (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) preferred Required Training & Certifications Valid Driver's License HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical training preferred UPCS training (or willingness to obtain) Must be insurable under agency vehicle policy Physical Requirements Ability to work indoors and outdoors Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and work in confined spaces Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more Exposure to construction-related environmental conditions Work Environment Exposure to moderate construction-related risks Mechanical, electrical, chemical, and environmental hazards Use of required safety gear and protective equipment Priority will be given to currently Paducah County residents.
