What is the difference between Pact Rn vs Licensed Practical Nurse?
| Aspect | Pact Rn | Licensed Practical Nurse |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Registered Nurse license (RN) | Licensed Practical Nurse license (LPN/LVN) |
| Work Environment | Hospitals, clinics, home health, outpatient care | Long-term care, nursing homes, clinics |
| Job Responsibilities | Advanced patient care, assessments, care planning | Basic patient care, medication administration, vital signs |
| Work Settings | More complex medical settings | Less complex, long-term care settings |
The main difference between Pact Rn and Licensed Practical Nurse lies in their education, scope of practice, and work environment. RNs typically have a broader scope, handling complex patient assessments and care planning, while LPNs focus on basic patient care tasks. Both roles are essential in healthcare, but RNs generally work in more diverse and advanced settings.
