Job description

In consultation with the Radiology Director, assists in planning, directing, organizing controls, staffing and evaluation in all areas of Radiology.  Manages areas of responsibility within the rules and regulations of State and Federal agencies.  Shares responsibility for the development, interpretation, application and implementation of departmental policies, budget and strategic plans.  Achieves departmental/ organizational objectives and improvement opportunities by providing quality diagnostic services. Manages all duties of as the PACs Administer by supporting the departmental needs as well as outside referral sources.


Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.  Associates degree or advanced courses in management or related field preferred. 

Experience: Five (5) years experience in the Radiology field required.  Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.  Must have a working knowledge of budget preparation and control; departmental staffing and disciplinary procedures; marketing, patient and public relations strategies; planning and implementing new programs; and interpreting and managing physician interaction and requests with regard to Radiology. 

Licenses/Certificates: ARRT registry required.  ARRT registry in CT, MRI, and/or Nuclear Medicine preferred, BCLS certification required. CPI.
