Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership for warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling activities in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures materials, components, finished goods, and inventory are handled accurately, safely, and in compliance with company procedures, cGMP, FDA, OSHA, and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, staging, inventory movement, picking, packing, and storage.

· Assign work, adjust priorities, and provide floor-level leadership to support production schedules, customer needs, and on-time shipments.

· Ensure materials, components, finished goods, and quarantined, approved, or rejected inventory are properly segregated, labeled, stored, handled, and documented.

· Maintain accurate inventory transactions, support cycle counts and physical inventories, and help resolve inventory discrepancies.

· Maintain warehouse housekeeping, organization, space utilization, and material flow to support a safe, efficient, audit-ready environment.

· Ensure warehouse activities comply with GMP, SOPs, FDA expectations, OSHA requirements, temperature controls, safety procedures, and company policies.

· Escalate temperature excursions, material damage, shipment issues, documentation errors, deviations, safety concerns, or other quality risks.

· Train, coach, and hold warehouse employees accountable for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, conduct, equipment use, and procedure adherence.

· Ensure proper operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, balers, and other material handling equipment.

· Support discrepancy, deviation, damage, shipping/receiving error, safety, and corrective action investigations; perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field preferred.

· Three or more years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience required; supervisory or lead experience preferred.

· Regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, food, or similar controlled-environment experience preferred.

· Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, inventory control, material segregation, lot control, documentation practices, and warehouse safety preferred.

· Forklift experience required or ability to become certified; pallet jack and warehouse equipment experience preferred.

· Ability to accurately use ERP, WMS, inventory, shipping, receiving, and basic computer systems.

· Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, follow-through, coaching, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Warehouse and manufacturing environment requiring compliance with safety, GMP, housekeeping, and PPE requirements. This role requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting or moving materials, operating or working near forklifts and material handling equipment, and working around warehouse traffic, production areas, noise, chemicals, cleaning agents, temperature-controlled areas, and wet or slippery surfaces. The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds and remaining on feet for extended periods.
