Job description

Olsten is assisting in recruiting for a current 2nd Shift packer position for a well-established company located in Mullins, SC. If you meet the following requirements pleases click on Apply Now.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

Perform all Packer tasks that are involved in the production. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  1. Performs work as assigned by department supervisor.

  2. Pack correct items in menu bags.

  3. Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.

  4. Pack a minimum of 1500 menu bags per day.

  5. Pull menu bags.

  6. Remove items from bin and place items in tray.

  7. Keep bags straighten on conveyor belts.

  8. Guide bags into sealer

  9. Catch bags at the end of line and check for visible defects.

  10. Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.

  11. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  12. Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production.

Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge : The position will be required to read, write, and perform basic math.

Physical environment/working conditions: The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.

Equipment and Machinery used: Round tables, Multivac machine, conveyor belts, poly menu bags, cardboard boxes, and other materials necessary to the production and packaging products.

Other (e.g., customer contact or access to confidential information): Must be able to work as part of a team.
