Production Associate Needed in Nashville 1st and 2nd Shift $21/hr!

Job Description

Join a brand-new, highly automated food manufacturing facility as a Production Associate, providing hands-on support to machine operators in producing high-quality protein bars. This direct hire role offers stable, full-time hours, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to help launch and grow a new plant. You will work across both processing and packing areas, performing a variety of general production and loading tasks in a climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support machine operators throughout the production process to ensure consistent and efficient output of protein bars.
  • Load raw ingredients into mixing machines according to established procedures and safety standards.
  • Load melt and chocolate into melt machines while maintaining cleanliness and product quality.
  • Wash and clean trays regularly to support continuous production and maintain hygiene standards.
  • Load materials into wrapper machines to keep packaging lines running smoothly.
  • Load sprinkles and other toppings or inclusions as required by production specifications.
  • Assist with packing finished products, ensuring correct quantities, labeling, and quality checks.
  • Work on both processing and packing sides of operations as needed, adapting to changing production demands.
  • Stand and remain on your feet throughout the shift while performing general labor and production line tasks.
  • Follow all food production and food processing guidelines to support a safe and compliant environment.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as they are implemented in the facility.
  • Assist in setting up, supporting, and stabilizing production processes in a startup plant environment.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and machine operators to coordinate tasks and resolve production issues quickly.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to learn new processes, equipment, and procedures as the plant ramps up.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, tools, and surrounding production spaces.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in food production, food processing, or other production environments is desired.
  • Experience in general labor, general production, or production line work.
  • Ability to perform loading tasks, including loading ingredients, materials, and products throughout the shift.
  • Experience with packaging or working on packaging lines in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong communication skills to help support plant startup and ensure production runs smoothly.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a startup environment with evolving processes and shift schedules.
  • Comfort standing on your feet for the entire shift and performing repetitive physical tasks.
  • Willingness to work across both processing and packing areas as needed.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and food handling guidelines in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility or similar production environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $43680.00/yr.

DP Benes: - $75 Steel Toe/Composite Stipend - Medical, Dental, Vision – 3 Medical plans no high deductible. Anthem BlueCross. - Benes start 1st of month. - 15 PTO days accrued. - 6 Sick days accrued. - 401K after 90 days. 100% match up to 4%.
