Title: Packer
Location: Memphis TN
Duration: 12 Months
Shift: Monday - Friday (2:00 am - 10:30 am)
 
Overview:
The Warehouse Associate (Packer) will perform various warehouse activities to ensure the full and efficient operation of the Distribution Center such as sorting, stacking, packing, and shipping of orders.
The Responsibilities
• Use a RF scanner to pick orders or using a computer to pack out the orders. Product could be stored in ambient, cool room or freezer location. Associate could be rotated between different departments based upon business need.
• Operate the use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; ensure daily routine inspections are conducted. Report any unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Verify products for the correct code, correct lot and correct quantities and ensure damages are identified.
• Perform housekeeping in assigned area and following safety rules.
• Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
 
Skills Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; or in lieu of education, at least 2+ years of previous warehouse or similar industry experience:
Basic computer and math skills
Previous distribution experience
Previous experience in a cold chain environment

Internal Partners: Customer Service, Planning, Leadership and North America Supply Chain
External Partners: Customers, Carrier, Freight Forwarders, Suppliers
 
The Work Environment
The work environment characteristics are representative of a warehouse environment and include the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and be able to lift 50lbs.
The ability to work in 3 different temperatures: ambient, cooler (approximately 40 degrees), and freezer (approximately -20 degrees).
Use of PPE required for the job task (vest, steel toed shoes, body harness, gloves, etc.). Willing to work overtime with little or same day notice.
It would be a Climate-controlled environment.
