Job description

The Fulfillment Shipping and Packing Processor is a warehouse employee responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment by packing, labeling, and processing orders accurately and efficiently. This role helps ensure products are shipped on time and in good condition to meet customer and client expectations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damages, and unload materials from delivery trucks.
  • Keep track of inventory levels, conduct regular counts, and update records to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Fulfill orders by picking and packing items according to customer requirements or organizational standards.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas, ensuring items are properly labeled and easily accessible.
  • Accurate Application of Value-Added Services: Apply barcodes, polybags, stickers, hangers, and other value-added services to units accurately and in adherence to the specific packing guidelines outlined by clients.
  • Inspect products for defects or damages and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensure proper documentation, and load materials onto delivery vehicles.
  • Use pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized and report any maintenance issues.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and quality.
  • Quickly address and resolve issues that may arise in day-to-day warehouse operations.
  • Flexibility to support the team with additional tasks and adapt to shifting priorities as required by the business.

Requirements

  • Prior warehouse experience is desired
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Prior knowledge of warehouse data system (WMS) is desired 
  • Should be comfortable with the use of scanners and computers.
  • Team player with organizational skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Fast-paced with attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate

Physical Requirements

  • Work regularly to lift and/or move objects 10-30 lbs; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time including stair climbing frequent bending, stooping, squatting and kneeling are required to retrieve and stock products at various heights.
  • May be required to climb ladders or stairs to access products stored on higher shelves.
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks, such as packing, sorting, or labeling, with efficiency and attention to detail. 
  • Must be able to tolerate fluctuations in facility temperatures
  • Must be able to tolerate an occasional high noise volume environment that includes speakers, fans, moving racks and conveyor belts.
