Momar is looking for a new Packager I!

Momar, Inc., a privately owned specialty chemical manufacturing company based in Atlanta, GA, is currently seeking a Packager I to join our Momar family. Reporting to the Packaging Supervisor, the Packager I will be responsible for warehouse packaging operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental procedures and protocols established by Momar.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Package, crate, and ship products and materials to fulfill orders.
  • Weigh and label finished products for shipment.
  • Enforce quality control measures to ensure packaging meets environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Unpack, inspect, and store merchandise or materials.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) established by the company.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the Packaging Lead or Packaging Supervisor.
  • Carry out additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in reading and comprehending written and oral instructions and training materials.
  • Capable of wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions without constant supervision.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience in packaging is highly preferred; however, training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with operating a forklift is considered an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be respirator-cleared and able to don a respirator daily.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate verbally.
  • Able to perform job tasks in environments that may be dusty, hot, and/or cold.

Shift hours are from 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday. Starting pay is $18.00/hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.
