Reports To: Eric Heyward

Job Summary

A Packaging Operator is responsible for preparing, packaging, labeling, and inspecting pharmaceutical products in accordance with safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role ensures medications are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently before distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Package pharmaceutical products such as tablets according to company procedures.
  • Operate packaging equipment and machinery used in pharmaceutical production.
  • Inspect products and packaging materials to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Label packages accurately with product information, batch numbers, and expiration dates.
  • Maintain clean and sterile work environments according to GMP standards.
  • Monitor packaging lines and report any issues, defects, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Record production data, packaging counts, and batch documentation in batch records.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with inventory management and packaging material preparation.
  • Support quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities.
