Job Description

The Operator I is an entry-level role focused on developing skills necessary for operating and maintaining production operation. this position involves assisting with setup, monitoring production, conducting routine quality checks, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. The role builds a strong foundation in press operations while supporting the team to achieve production and quality goals.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with setting up machines, including loading materials as directed by operators.
  • Monitor press operation during production runs to maintain consistent quality and report any issues to the lead operator or supervisor.
  • Perform basic quality checks using established procedures and tools to ensure optimal quality.
  • Support the press crew in keeping production schedules by following instructions and adjusting to workflow needs.
  • Keep the press area clean and organized, including proper handling and storage.
  • Participate in training to learn press functions, assist with running the press, perform basic maintenance, and develop troubleshooting skills.
  • Communicate effectively with press assistants, operators, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and quick resolution of issues.
  • Record basic production data, such as counts, downtime, and materials used, as instructed.
