Job Description Summary

This position operates, monitors and adjusts the packaging equipment in a manner consistent with safety, food safety, quality, and production standards.

Job Description

  • Monitors Line Sanitation, Ink-jet coder, Bagger operation, Dyna-pack operation,Settlersand Case sealers

  • Performs routine metal detector checks to ensure proper function of metal detectors.

  • Monitors line flow rates. Including regular checks for proper feed of product through baggers.

  • Monitors and adjust vibrators to gainoptimumbagger performance.

  • Orders packaging material

  • Ensures proper container sizing

  • Records packaging machinery efficiencies, downtime, and fills out reports accurately and correctly.

  • Responsible for ensuring complete packaging quality ofproducttaking regular checks or weights,sealscodes, glue patterns, etc.

  • Complete CIL's and centerlines.

  • Participates in AMD Drumbeats.

  • Reworksproductwhen necessary.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

ducation/ Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

  • Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification arerequired. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirementmay vary by location).

  • Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred.

  • Must be able to be qualified withintime framesestablishedbyfacility.

  • Ability to perform basic mathfunctions,required.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Environment/Demands:

  • Ability tolift upto50pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.

  • Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hottocold in temperature

  • Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours perwork dayto include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke,smellsand allergies

  • Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movementsrequiredfor job actions and procedures.

  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.

  • Requires manual dexterity, overallcoordinationand good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.Ability tooperatework related equipment

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation

  • May have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products

  • Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
