The Opportunity

As Manager, Brand Applications, you will lead the design and evolution of Abbott's packaging and product experience systems, translating Abbott's visual identity into distinctive divisional brand expressions across a global portfolio.

This role sits between corporate brand strategy and product execution, defining how Abbott's visual identity is applied across packaging, product touchpoints, and customer experiences. The ideal candidate is an experienced packaging designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity application, packaging redesign, and system-level thinking across complex product portfolios.

What You'll Work On

  • Lead the application of Abbott's visual identity across packaging, product experiences, and divisional brand touchpoints

  • Design and evolve packaging systems that align with Abbott's brand strategy while supporting business and customer needs

  • Create scalable visual frameworks, packaging architectures, and design standards across global portfolios

  • Partner with marketing, product, regulatory, and commercial teams to translate strategy into compelling design solutions

  • Provide creative direction and design feedback to internal teams and agency partners

  • Driveconsistency, quality, and innovation across Abbott's branded product experiences

  • Help shape brand guidelines and tools that enable effective execution across divisions and markets

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Industrial Design, or related discipline

  • 8+ years of experience in packaging design, brand identity, or product experience design

  • Extensive experience designing and redesigning packaging systems for complex product portfolios

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating packaging design, brand identity application, and physical product experiences

  • Proven ability to translate brand strategy into scalable design systems and customer-facing experiences

  • Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills

A portfolio demonstrating significant packaging design experience is required. Candidates whose experience is primarily in marketing, design operations, labeling execution, or quality/regulatory functions without substantial packaging design work will not be considered.

The base pay for this position is

$99,300.00 - $198,700.00
