Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Packaging Packer to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Wheeling, IL.

Pay: $18.14 / Hour


Your Role:

Inspect and pack finished product for shipment.

 

You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!

  • Read and interpret written work order to ensure type, quantity, quality of product, and any special customer instructions are followed in production process.
  • Pack finished product into shipping cartons, bulk packs, or other containers according to information on press log or from supervisor/lead.
  • Pack products on running machines and place product into each case.
  • Lift and pack stacks of product.
  • Select appropriate amount of product either by measuring; hand counting or counting done by a stacker system.
  • Assemble cartons by folding and closing with hand taper or tape machine.
  • Combination packaging of product to include regular packing with the addition of a precounted bag of plastic domes or foil laminated boards to be placed in box before adding aluminum pans.
  • Monitor materials and product for defects.
  • Scrap aluminum product that does not meet quality specification.
  • Move skids/pallets and visually inspect for functionality, and discard if broken.
  • Feed packaging lines with pans, domes and/or other product.
  • Fill band, glue and label machines.
  • Follow instructions and push buttons to call the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) to pick up packed product.
  • Visually inspect product to determine satisfactory quality and count product to ensure quantity is according to specifications.
  • Comply with all Plant rules, safety rules, GMP and PPE guidelines, and department work instructions.
  • Work as directed by department supervisor and as assigned by shift lead.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.
