JOB TITLE:                Entry Level - Packing 

REPORTS TO:          Department Manager with direction from Team Leader

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 3rd shift positions (6:45AM - 6:45 PM) 12-hour a day work schedule/2-2-3- rotating shift to include every other weekend.

STARTING PAY:      $23.50 per hour/ with the ability to earn more.

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals for the position of Shipping Entry Level -Packing. In this role, you will be an integral part of our shipping department, responsible for ensuring that our high-quality aluminum extrusion products are packed efficiently and securely for shipment. What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Carefully pack aluminum extrusion products in accordance with company packing standards.
  • Label packages accurately and ensure all shipping documents are completed correctly.
  • Assist in organizing and storing finished goods in the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely shipment of products.
  • Inspect packing materials for quality and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

The employee regularly stands, walks; fingers, handles, or feels objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands or arms; and talks or hears while performing the duties of this job. An employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. There will be regular lifting and/or moving exceeding 25 pounds, frequent lifting and/or moving exceeding 50 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving exceeding 100 pounds with a partner. Among the vision capabilities required by this job are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus. Employees perform the duties of this job near moving mechanical parts on a regular basis. In the workplace, noise levels are high without air conditioning.

REQUIRED TO HAVE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packing and labeling.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Basic understanding of shipping processes and procedures is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisor/team leader.
  • Must be able to pass company background check and drug screen.
