The packaging assistant is responsible for supporting daily packaging operations by assembling, labeling, inspecting, and preparing finished products for storage and shipment. This position helps maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safely and effectively operates and controls equipment and instrumentation in the assigned manufacturing unit.
  • Maintains and monitors process equipment in accordance with established procedures and processes.
  • Maintains and improves safety in the unit and is responsible for housekeeping in operating areas.
  • Receives raw materials to produce finished products at the specified quality level.
  • Supports and adheres to the principles of Responsible care and applicable requirements by protecting the environment and assuring the health, safety, and security of our employees, vendors, customers, suppliers, and our community.
  • Performs additional work as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Works in packaging of agricultural chemicals, including fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. Maintains a clean and safe workplace

The Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Willingness to work overtime to support a continuous operation as needed to meet business obligations
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Manufacturing experience is preferable
  • Preferred Experience Forklift experience
