Job description

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Purpose of Role

The purpose of this role is to fulfill all aspects of the material handling process in a plastic injection molding facility. The Material Handler will be responsible for unloading virgin and regrind material from truck and railcar. This individual will test material samples to ensure quality, setup material lines and blenders, and regrind scrap products to be used again. Other tasks include minor maintenance tasks such as material line repair, and vacuum pump filter cleaning, as well as involvement in inventory counts monthly.

What Youll Do

  • Receiving & Moving Materials Unload raw materials from rail cars, trucks, and pallets, verify paperwork, and safely transport to silos or staging areas using forklifts.
  • Supporting Production Stage and blend materials (virgin resin, regrind, and color) for machines, perform checks throughout the shift, and keep the production floor moving.
  • Equipment & Maintenance Operate grinders, pelletizers, and separators, while performing light maintenance such as filter changes and line repairs.
  • Inventory & Organization Track silo levels, label and stock inventory, and take part in monthly counts while upholding 5S standards for cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Team Support Lend a hand to machine operators, forklift drivers, and other teammates to keep operations running at their best.

What Were Looking For:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (a plus).
  • Proven ability to safely operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfort with physical tasks lifting, pushing, and moving up to 50 lbs.
