PCG information

What is a PCG?

PCGs, or Procedural Content Generators, are tools or algorithms used in game development and other fields to automatically create large amounts of content, such as levels, maps, or textures, through procedural methods rather than manual design. This approach allows developers to produce diverse and complex environments efficiently, often resulting in unique experiences for each user. PCG is widely used in video games for generating random terrain, dungeons, or even storylines, saving time and resources while adding replayability. The techniques can range from simple rule-based systems to advanced algorithms involving artificial intelligence.

What are some typical challenges faced by patient care technicians (PCTs) in a hospital setting?

Patient Care Technicians often juggle multiple responsibilities, such as assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and supporting nursing staff. A common challenge is managing the physical and emotional demands of caring for diverse patients, sometimes in fast-paced or high-stress environments. PCTs must also adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain clear communication with nurses and other healthcare team members to ensure patient safety. Strong organizational skills and resilience are key to thriving in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a personal caregiver (PCG), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Personal Caregiver (PCG), you need basic healthcare knowledge, skills in personal hygiene assistance, and often a high school diploma or equivalent, with some employers preferring CPR/first aid certification. Familiarity with patient care documentation systems and mobility aids such as wheelchairs or lifts is typically required. Compassion, patience, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for building trust and supporting clients’ emotional needs. These competencies ensure safe, respectful, and high-quality care for clients, promoting their well-being and independence.

Job description

Performance Contracting Group (PCG) is seeking a strategic and business-minded Manager of Software Architecture to lead the evolution of enterprise technology solutions across the organization.

This role is responsible for shaping PCG's technology direction, developing architectural standards, and partnering closely with business leaders, software development teams, innovation teams, and external technology vendors to deliver scalable solutions that drive measurable business value.

The ideal candidate combines strong leadership, enterprise architecture expertise, and a passion for emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, cloud platforms, and modern integration strategies. This individual will help identify opportunities to improve business processes, evaluate new technologies, guide architectural decisions, and ensure solutions remain aligned with PCG's long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture Leadership

  • Define and maintain PCG's enterprise software architecture strategy and roadmap.
  • Establish architectural standards, patterns, and governance processes that enable consistency while supporting innovation.
  • Lead architectural reviews and facilitate technology decision-making across departments.
  • Ensure technology investments align with business goals, scalability requirements, security expectations, and operational needs.

Business Partnership & Process Innovation

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for technology-enabled improvements.
  • Help business leaders evaluate options, assess tradeoffs, and develop scalable approaches to solving complex problems.
  • Drive continuous improvement of business and technology processes across the organization.
  • Translate business objectives into practical, sustainable technology strategies.

AI, Innovation & Emerging Technology Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with PCG's Innovation Team to evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, automation opportunities, and future-state solutions.
  • Identify practical use cases that create measurable value for business operations.
  • Guide adoption of AI-powered tools, intelligent automation, low-code platforms, and modern development practices.
  • Establish architectural guardrails that support innovation while appropriately managing risk.

Vendor & Technology Partner Engagement

  • Serve as a strategic partner to software vendors, implementation partners, and technology providers.
  • Participate in solution evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and product assessments.
  • Influence platform direction and technology investments through collaboration with key vendors.
  • Ensure third-party solutions align with PCG's enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.

Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior architects.
  • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and growth opportunities for architecture team members.
  • Help define architecture career paths, hiring practices, and professional development plans.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, curiosity, learning, and continuous improvement.

Solution Governance & Delivery Enablement

  • Provide architectural leadership for major initiatives involving ERP platforms, integrations, business systems, cloud technologies, AI solutions, and custom applications.
  • Guide teams through solution design, risk assessment, and technology selection.
  • Promote reusability, maintainability, security, and long-term sustainability of technology solutions.
  • Balance governance with execution by helping teams move faster through effective standards and guidance.

Salary range: $106,900-$143,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, enterprise architecture, or technology leadership roles.
  • 5+ years of experience leading architects, technical leaders, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Experience working across complex business environments involving multiple enterprise platforms and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, enterprise applications, integrations, data architecture, and software engineering practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions across functional and organizational boundaries.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft technologies including Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Fabric, GitHub, Copilot Studio, and AI services.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing AI, automation, low-code, or advanced analytics solutions.
  • Experience within construction, manufacturing, engineering, or project-based industries.
  • Architecture, cloud, agile, or project management certifications.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 12 months, this leader will:

  • Strengthen and mature PCG's enterprise architecture capability.
  • Improve alignment between business strategy and technology execution.
  • Create scalable patterns for AI, automation, and enterprise integrations.
  • Increase collaboration between architecture, software development, business operations, and innovation teams.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in solution quality, speed of delivery, and business outcomes.
  • Develop a high-performing architecture team that serves as trusted advisors across the organization.

This role is 50% business strategy, process improvement, and innovation leadership, 30% architecture leadership, and only 20% technology governance.
