Job description

We’re looking for upbeat, reliable team members to join our fast-paced Steak ‘n Shake restaurant inside the OYO Hotel & Casino. As a Cashier/Host, you’ll take orders, serve food and drinks, and help ensure every guest has a great experience.


What You’ll Do:

  • Greet guests and take food and beverage orders

  • Accurately ring orders and handle cash, comps, and POS transactions

  • Pack to-go orders and include necessary condiments

  • Garnish and serve food and drinks quickly and correctly

  • Keep front-of-house and dining areas clean and organized

  • Clear tables, sweep floors, and restock items as needed

  • Resolve minor guest issues or refer to management

  • Complete opening/closing duties based on shift

  • Follow all health and safety standards


What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask in a busy, team-focused environment

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems

  • Knowledge of food service and health/sanitation guidelines

  • Must be 18+ and able to work weekends and holidays


Preferred:

  • Bilingual a plus

  • 2 years of food service or cashier experience

  • Experience working in a resort or hotel setting
