Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering/Technical or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year experience in product engineering or product management in computer or software markets.
  • Valid state driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle required for travel to customer sites and conferences.
  • Ability to receive client's approval to work on contract required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must live in the United States 3 of the last 5 years (military service and study abroad accepted).
  • Product Owner certification preferred.
  • Experience with product development and release to market preferred.
  • Understanding of product life cycle management.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with technical product services support.

Responsibilities
Summary
The Product Owner supports and works hand in hand with the product manager in managing the day-to-day execution of developing, manufacturing, and servicing of BI products. This position serves as the focal point for most of the tactical coordination needed during the development, launch, and post launch support of products during the product life cycle.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and ensures alignment among cross-functional teams to meet major product milestones and customer commitments.
  • Develops integrated project plans across functional teams to support the execution of major product milestones and commitments in support of the product manager.
  • Supports and coordinates with product manager and product teams to ensure robust qualification criteria are met to exit each stage of product life cycle (development, alpha, beta, manufacturing transfer and ramp, EOL).
  • Discerns and categorizes customer issues and requests (in the ticketing system and ad hoc) and funnels them to the appropriate teams in support of the product manager's priorities.
  • Utilizes product life cycle management tool to ensure proper documentation to support standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Detects common patterns in repeated issue occurrences and track pareto of major issues.
  • Tracks and regularly reports progress made on resolving major customer issues.
  • Coordinates roll out of new product testing, validation, and post product roll out support.
  • Participates in product development team meetings as needed.
  • Participates in manufacturing meetings as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
