Job description

Technical Recruiter โ€“ Cleared Government Programs

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for cleared critical-facility technicians and engineering professionals supporting U.S. Government, DoD, Intelligence Community, and international programs.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned recruiter who understands the unique challenges of recruiting security-cleared technical talent and can build pipelines for hard-to-fill positions across both CONUS and OCONUS environments.

What You'll Do
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for candidates holding TS/SCI, CI Poly, and Full-Scope Poly clearances.
  • Recruit for mission-critical technical positions including:
    • HVAC Technicians
    • Electricians
    • Plumbers
    • Mechanical Technicians
    • Building Automation/Controls Specialists
    • Facilities Maintenance
    • Engineering and Construction Trades
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for both domestic and overseas assignments.
  • Support OCONUS deployments, including rotational, austere, remote, and contingency environments.
  • Partner with Program Managers, Facilities/Operations leadership, Security, and deployment teams to understand staffing requirements and timelines.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies utilizing clearance-focused job boards, military outreach, referrals, social platforms, and direct sourcing.
  • Support high-volume hiring, rapid contract ramp-ups, mobilizations, and incumbent capture efforts.
  • Conduct candidate screening, interview coordination, compensation discussions, offer negotiations, and onboarding support.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting activity within an ATS.
  • Advise leadership on candidate availability, market conditions, compensation, and challenges associated with hard-to-fill technical positions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, Intelligence Community, OFCCP, OSHA, HR, and international employment requirements.
MUST-HAVES

7+ years of technical recruiting experience

Proven experience recruiting U.S. Government/DoD cleared candidates

Experience working with TS/SCI and Polygraph-cleared talent

Background recruiting critical-facility technical trades, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, controls, facilities, or engineering

Experience supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS government programs

Strong understanding of security clearance requirements and processes

Demonstrated ability to recruit high-volume and hard-to-fill positions under aggressive timelines

Strong sourcing, candidate engagement, communication, organization, and follow-up skills

Experience working within an ATS such as Taleo, iCIMS, Workday, Bullhorn, or similar

Government-contract recruiting and OFCCP compliance experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD contingency operations or Base Operations Support (BOS)
  • Previous recruiting experience for OCONUS deployments
  • Experience supporting military installations, secure facilities, classified programs, or mission-critical infrastructure
  • Knowledge of international deployment processing and logistics
  • Experience recruiting candidates for rotational or austere environments
  • Previous experience mentoring recruiters or leading sourcing initiatives
The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a recruiter who can hit the ground runningโ€”someone who knows how to find cleared talent, understands technical trades, can speak credibly with highly skilled candidates, and is comfortable staffing positions where clearance, deployment readiness, and speed are critical.

  • If you've successfully recruited cleared HVAC, electrical, mechanical, facilities, or engineering professionals for government programs, we'd like to hear from you.
