Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

We are seeking a Network & Boundary Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Serve as the Event Network Engineer for the Flight & Ground Test Team (F&G); mentoring all assigned network professionals to include training and quality control functions across the team's engineering efforts
  • Collaborate across the Event and Enterprise Teams
  • Be responsible for providing network architectures, engineering services, and on-site support for various MDA test events
  • Support the engineering life-cycle for a portfolio of enterprise IT offerings/services ensuring MDA Chief Information Officer (CIO) services and supported MDA Directors' Enclaves/Lab services are rendered, protected, and ready to support the implementation of all Missile Defense Systems (MDS) events, including Flight tests, Ground tests, Wargames & Exercises, and real-world events
  • Collaborate pro-actively with the MDA event community, customers, and stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and assess technology needs, and capture those needs for service delivery
  • Lead network integration throughout an event engineering life-cycle for an assigned event, ensuring accuracy of work products and service offerings are ready to support the implementation of MDS test events
  • Work with managers, other architects/engineers (with technical capacity across enterprise spectrum), and others to assist F&G with event network architectures, services, solutions, and support
  • Provide on-site engineering support for MDA test events with potential for deployments overseas
  • Apply relevant engineering principles and practices in the development of MDEES processes, procedures, and product deliverables
  • Apply technical skills in multiple technical domains, such as; networks, boundary protection, and COMSEC services
What You Bring
Basic Requirements:
  • Must have 8, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
    • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 4, or more, years of directly related experience in Directory Services (e.g. Windows 2000+ AD, LDAP, DHCP); Operating Systems (e.g. UNIX, Windows, MS Exchange); Internet Protocols (e.g. DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL); Firewall configuration and troubleshooting; Multiple network types (i.e. LAN, WAN, VxLAN, SDN); and/or managing Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Telecommunications infrastructures
  • Must have a current DoD approved 8570 IAT Level II certification such as Security+ CE
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:
  • Have 3 years of experience in management or leadership roles
  • Have a working knowledge with various DoD communication systems, IT Service Management/Delivery (ITSM/ITSD), System Lifecycle Methodologies, and Cyber Security protocols
  • Have a working knowledge of the MDA, MDS, and event management, support, and execution
  • Have knowledge of complex weapons systems, especially those related to MDA test programs
  • Have experience with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other best-practice business protocols
  • Have experience leading engineering/technical teams and interfacing with matrix-managed organizations
  • Have experience with Palo Alto firewalls and experience implementing PPSM's
