Position Overview

DPI Merchandising, LLC is seeking an experienced and highly organized Production Manager to oversee the end-to-end production process for our growing portfolio of toys, collectibles, games, and video-game based consumer products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in product development and manufacturing, excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously, and is experienced working with overseas manufacturing partners and licensed brands.

This role requires exceptional project management, communication, and negotiation skills to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete product lifecycle from initial concept through production, quality control, shipping, and final delivery.
  • Coordinate product submissions, approvals, and ongoing communications with licensors across the toy, gaming, entertainment, and consumer products industries.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for overseas manufacturing partners, primarily in Asia, ensuring clear communication and timely execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, tracking milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Obtain production quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage manufacturing costs to meet budget objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Design, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Monitor production quality, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate shipping, logistics, and freight activities to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, reports, and project status updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize workflows.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of production, project management, or operations experience within the toy, collectibles, games, or consumer products industry.
  • Experience working with licensed products and managing licensor communications, submissions, and approval processes.
  • Proven experience working directly with overseas manufacturers, particularly in Asia.
  • Strong understanding of the complete product development and manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Experience negotiating pricing, production costs, and vendor agreements.
  • Knowledge of international shipping, freight, and logistics processes.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and project management software.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with licensed consumer products or entertainment brands.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for toys, collectibles, and related consumer products.
  • Familiarity with international compliance, safety, and quality standards.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple product launches.
