An overseas aircraft mechanic works abroad to repair and perform maintenance on the mechanical and avionic equipment of helicopters and planes. Your responsibilities in this career include performing inspections for breakouts, defects, and fluid leaks, disassembling and assembling components to make repairs, identifying issues by testing aircraft operations, and calibrating and maintaining the tools used by international airline mechanics. Other duties include cleaning the aircraft, ensuring that it meets company and FAA compliance standards, troubleshooting unusual issues to determine what needs repair, and operating support equipment. This job may be on a contract basis, and it requires you to travel.
