An international aircraft mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and handles all responsibilities related to airplane parts and equipment while working in other countries. Your duties deal with electrical, mechanical, and computerized systems. You inspect the engine, aircraft structures, and related components before and after liftoff and provide repairs to ensure operations occur as they are supposed to. You also prepare reports and document all observations and adjustments. There are international aircraft mechanic opportunities available through private companies as well as the military, and you may be required to travel to multiple locations. If you work in the military, your travel is often much more frequent.
