Qk4 is on the hunt for Survey Party Chiefs for our Louisville and Frankfort, KY offices. This role leads field assignments, assists field technicians perform survey activities, and coordinates with survey managers and engineers. Job Duties: How you spend your day
  • Take direction from survey managers and implementing a work plan
  • Outline job assignment scope, tasks, and logistics with field crew
  • Use Trimble surveying equipment including robotic total station and GNSS systems, digital level, and Trimble Access data collectors
  • Find and locate field evidence for boundary surveys
  • Demonstrate strong math skills involving geometry, trigonometry and other mathematical functions as required
  • Provide data collection and management for topographical, roadway, bridge, utility and other surveys
  • Create accurate sketches and maintaining comprehensive written field notes
  • Produce thorough and accurate data that meets required technical standards
  • Responsible for direction, production, safety, and actions of field crew
  • Provide quality assurance by reviewing field data, reports, and maps

Job Qualifications: Successful Candidates Will Possess
  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver's license
  • 3+ years of progressive land survey experience performing boundary, topographic and other surveys utilizing modern technology.
  • Ability to work outdoor in all seasons
  • Meet physical requirements of the job including climbing, walking long distances in various terrain, sitting, standing bending while operating survey equipment. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
