Job description

Tyson Eye has been providing exceptional service in SWFL for over 40 years. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to assist on Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday in our Accredited Surgery Center in Cape Coral. He/she is the patient advocate and assures that quality care is administered. This position will report to the ASC Manager. Education and Job Experience:
  • Registered and must have their license to practice in the state of Florida.
  • Maintain re-licensure requirements.
  • One-year OR experience preferred.
  • Experience in a surgical specialty, ICU or related field preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certified.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Plans for patient care. Oversees the Patient Care Technician.
  • Assists in the proper preparation of supplies, equipment and medication involved in patient care.
  • Administers medication as ordered and according to facility and DEA policy and procedures.
  • Makes post-operative telephone calls.
  • Starts and discontinues intravenous lines and documents appropriately. Regulates and documents infusion.
  • Performs treatments and/or procedures as instructed.
  • Establish nursing goals based on nursing diagnosis and evaluate outcome.
  • Assists in organizing and developing policies and procedures and plans for improvement.
