Job Function:

The Golf Cart and Range Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by maintaining golf cart cleanliness and readiness, organizing the cart staging area, and ensuring the driving range is fully stocked, clean, and safe. This position supports the overall golf operation and plays a key role in enhancing the member and guest experience.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Cart Operations:

  • Prepare and stage golf carts for daily play.
  • Clean, sanitize, and inspect carts after each use.
  • Charge carts overnight and monitor battery performance.
  • Report any cart maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.

Range Operations:

  • Collect, clean, and restock range balls using designated equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly range tee area.
  • Monitor ball supply levels and refill as needed throughout the day.
  • Set up and break down range equipment (baskets, signs, targets, etc.) daily.

Guest Services:

  • Greet members and guests upon arrival with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Assist golfers with loading/unloading clubs and provide directions as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment at the bag drop, staging area, and range.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with golf staff, members, and guests.
  • Strive to achieve the MVCC Vision & Mission each day.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that represents all the MVCC core values.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age (18+ for equipment use in some states).
  • Ability to operate golf carts and range picker equipment safely.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous customer service or golf course experience preferred but not required.
  • Interest in golf or familiarity with golf course operations is a plus.

Work Environment:

This position is outdoors and requires standing, walking, and lifting. The work schedule includes mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays, depending on course activity and weather conditions.
