Title: IT Support Specialist
Location: Tucker, GA
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
  • Prvides customer support in the maintenance of systems.
  • Provides ongoing operational and user assistance to address application problems, provide on-call application support and assist users with application operations.
  • Provides technical support in the operation and use of application software systems.
  • Communicates with all levels of management and user department personnel to discuss job execution status, requests for reprints, equipment status and related problems that may occur.
  • Develops materials and methods to be used in training others in the use of various hardware and software.
  • Installs and/or upgrades software on PC's as instructed.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in information security, privacy, system/network administration and support.
  • Application development & training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computer users.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the required education and experience, possess one or more of the following:

  • Onsite
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
  • Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a 40-hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing a high-volume workload and demands a high level of accuracy while working with deadlines. Regular attendance is an important part of being successful in this position. Reasonable accommodations can be made available to qualified individuals upon request.
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or GED AND Six months of education or experience in information security, privacy, system/network administration and support, or application development AND training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned office/geographic area.
