Responsibilities

Develops and monitors the work activities in the Histology Lab and the Morgue. Performs routine histological activities of receiving, preparing, and processing surgical specimens for patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education
  • Current HT/HTL Certification through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • One (1) year experience as a Histology Tech.
  • All applicants must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test.
  • PREFERRED

  • Immuno chemistry experience and/or training.
  • Bachelor's degree in science, plus successful completion of a formal histology tech program
  • Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good written and oral communication skills.
  • Work Hours:Mon - Fri: 11:00pm - 7:30amWeekend Requirements:NoOn-Call Requirements:NoEmployment Type: FULL_TIME
