We are seeking an experienced Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join the team as a Nocturnist. Provide advanced overnight surgical care in a high-acuity Level II Trauma Center, working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive overnight coverage for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
- Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients in inpatient settings
- Support trauma surgeons with procedures and ongoing patient management
- Work autonomously while collaborating with physicians and care teams
- Document all patient care in EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, credentialing, and privileging requirements
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical performance
- Participate in mentorship, leadership development, and continuing education programs
Qualifications (Required)- Trauma Surgery Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s degree in Nursing
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANPCB)
- Active Colorado license (or ability to obtain)
- Eligible for DEA registration and Medicare/Medicaid provider status
- Current BLS certification
- No sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA
- Current NPDB Self-Query report (within 30 days at time of submission)
- Preferred Qualifications
* OR completion of a surgical fellowship
* Clean malpractice and licensure history
Compensation & Benefits- Salary Range: $136,822 – $179,379 annually (based on experience)
