*** The job is on-site @ 10 40th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201 Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer : - Contribute to robot design, fabrication, assembly, and testing - Research, design, develop, and test complex electromechanical systems for robotic applications - Engineering design process from conceptualization to prototype development and validation - Perform modeling, analysis, and simulation of electromechanical systems - Develop CAD models and drawings of electromechanical assemblies and systems - Perform light fabrication, subsystem assembly, and integration of subsystems - Formulate and perform electromechanical system tests Required Qualifications (Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications) : - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field - 4+ years of experience - Experience in developing mechanical systems - Experience in electromechanical subsystems design - 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks preferred) - a plus to have : experience with Finite Element Analysis with ANSYS and/or SolidWorks Simulation - a plus to have : experience with manufacturing using modern methods including CNC mill and lathe, laser cutters, and 3D printers - a plus to have : experience specifying/selecting electrical components (motors, sensors, etc) for robotic systems - a plus to have : knowledge of electrical circuit design - a plus to have : experience with programming for prototype development (Python, Arduino, etc.)
