Job description

Granite YMCA Camp Foss is seeking a weekly Registered Nurse and a substitute RN for the summer 2026 camp season. This position will support the daily needs of campers and staff at an all-girl's overnight camp located on Willey Pond in Strafford, NH.
The Camp RN will provide daily support for their committed week, while the Sub RN will provide 24-hour coverage while the Head Nurse is on their 24-hour time off. RN will live onsite during their time at camp and work with children at the girls' YMCA overnight camp.
Positions
Camp RN for the week of July 25th - August 2nd
Substitute RN will work a 24 hour shift, around their summer availability and camp needs, throughout the 8 weeks of the summer camp season (June 22nd - August 22nd )
The Camp RN will provide care, such as:
  • Routine nursing care to campers, counselors, and staff according to physicians' orders and instructions.
  • Emergency care to camper, counselors and staff involved in accident or injury.
  • Administration of prescribed medication.
  • Processing all forms pertaining to insurance coverage, accident reports and documentation of nursing care.
  • Communication of nursing care and medical attention to parents as well as information regarding campers to nursing and medical team.
  • Promote the YMCA's Character Development program
  • Check and monitor health forms for all current camper files.
  • Work with Camp Mi-Te-Na/Foss management staff to promote positive inter-camp relations
  • Ensuring we are up to date and following the DHHS guidelines for Covid-19

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Certified Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire
  • Documented experience working as a nurse

Salary and Benefits:
  • Weekly RN - $1200 - 1500 per week
  • Sub RN - $200 per shift
  • Room and board are included
  • Staff children/grandchildren/youth dependents are eligible to receive 1 free week camp
