Job Title: Part-Time Policy Analyst

About the Client:

MC International Consulting is a strategic advisory firm focused on the Asia-Pacific and Pacific regions. Headquartered in Singapore with an office in Seoul, the firm provides decision-making support in policy, economic, and regulatory affairs for governments and multinational corporations. Due to business expansion, we are entrusted by MC International Consulting to recruit outstanding policy analysts to join their team.

Position Overview:

As a Part-Time Policy Analyst, you will focus on policy research, economic trend analysis, and trade regulatory monitoring across the Pacific region, delivering high-quality advisory reports and strategic recommendations to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Track and analyze policy, regulatory changes, and economic developments across the Pacific region (including the United States, Canada, Australia, Latin America, and Pacific Island nations)

Draft policy briefs, industry analysis reports, and risk alert memos

Support due diligence, feasibility studies, and compliance verification projects

Collaborate across teams to provide data and analytical support for strategic consulting projects

Regularly update regional policy databases and data monitoring systems

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in policy research, government affairs, or consulting

Familiarity with the political and economic landscape of the Pacific region, with in-depth knowledge of at least one sub-region (e.g., North America, Latin America, Pacific Islands)

Background in the public sector or related fields is preferred

Ability to independently produce high-quality analytical reports

Strong information retrieval, data analysis, and critical thinking skills

Ability to commit 15–20 hours per week with a flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with international organizations or multinational consulting firms

Proficiency in quantitative analysis tools (e.g., Stata, R, Python) or GIS software

Field research or project experience in the Pacific region

Knowledge of international trade regulations and related policy frameworks
