PLAYER/GUEST SERVICES at Destination Geneva National - NOW HIRING FOR 2023 SEASON
Average pay rate with tips $15-$20/hour

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Formerly known as Player Services, this position includes the following responsibilities: handling and staging arriving golf bags, cleaning and staging golf carts, post-round club cleaning, answering guest questions, and assisting resort and Member golfers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Some computer knowledge/usage
  • Customer service and social skills
  • Some general knowledge of the game of golf
  • Valid Driver's License is Required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide members and resort guests with golf bag handling and club cleaning services
  • Provide excellent customer service to all public patrons, members and guests
  • Greet members, guests and public as they arrive and return from their round
  • Maintain Golf Shop communications for member and public requests – report add-on players
  • Inform and direct players and guests to desired areas of the facility
  • Issue, monitor and secure rental club inventory by following operational procedures
  • Assist with all cleaning and maintenance procedures of the golf car fleet
  • Monitor the bag drop area – handle, transport and protect public, member and guest bags
  • Tag/label all golf bags with identification tags when appropriate and necessary
  • Pull and set up member bags for daily member play
  • Assist members and guests arriving from the Member Parking Lot
  • Assist with the staging of golf carts on a daily basis for public, member and guests
  • Ensure that all staged carts are clean, and properly stocked – tees, pencil and sand amp; seed
  • Clean out, wipe down/wash and dry all golf carts after completion of play
  • Place cleaned member clubs back into member club storage after play
  • Safely park golf carts in designated spots in the cart storage area
  • Plug-in and charge golf carts each evening, check that charging is occurring
  • Clean, store and protect members and guests clubs which are held overnight
  • Maintain all areas of the cart barn and club storage rooms
  • Empty trash receptacles as needed during each shift
  • Work closely and communicate with the PGA Professionals and Golf Shop Staff in staging, preparing and operating all public and member events
  • Communicate often with the Maintenance Department with regarding to sand amp; seed supply and replenishment, and all cart maintenance/repair issues
  • Work closely with Starters to assist in getting groups to the first tee in a timely manner
  • Maintain the practice areas in conjunction with the Range personnel– tee setup and cleaning, range picking, washing and sorting golf balls, restocking caddies and tee cups
  • Monitor all areas for trash and debris, lost clubs and equipment, etc.
  • Deliver dirty and used towels to the laundry each night – restock clean towels
  • Perform any and all duties assigned by the Professional Staff

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of the time performing each function to be solely determined by the director based upon departmental and hotel needs

· Transporting Cottages amp; Suites guests to rooms if necessary

· Assist with any event set-up procedures, as required
