Job description

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and safety conscious Light Metal Building Installer to join our construction crew. You will load, unload and assemble light pre-manufactured metal buildings, primary framing, installing walk in doors, windows, roll up doors and metal panels. If you love working with your hands, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and want to be part of a company that builds structures customers rely on every day — this is the opportunity for you! You will be working as a 3rd crew member at an entry level position for the crew. This role is designed for someone with a solid foundation in general construction who wants to specialize in the metal building trade. You will work alongside experienced leads to learn how to assemble light pre manufactured steel structures. While we will train you on specific metal building techniques, you must already have job site experience and be completely comfortable working safely at heights while on ladders outdoors and be ready to travel regularly during the workweek. Because our company services projects statewide, this position requires frequent out-of-town overnight travel.  We provide a company truck and trailer for crew transport to the jobsites and cover all lodging and travel expenses. This is a year-round position where the typical working schedule involves loading on Monday for a few hours to prepare for the installation week, followed by installations from Tuesday through Friday (with occasional Saturdays).

Responsibilities:
  • Assist lead installers by prepping materials, staging tools and holding components during structural assembly
  • Provide excellent customer service and respect to customers with installation questions or concerns
  • Unload, sort, and carry steel beams, metal sheets, insulation and fasteners around the job site
  • Use basic power tools to assist in fastening steel framing, wall panels and trim under direct supervision
  • Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe by managing debris, packing up tools, and organizing materials daily
  • Operate power tools safely and efficiently
  • Strictly follow all OSHA guidelines and company safety rules, including the constant and proper use of PPE
  • Be ready to travel out of town for multiple days at a time, working efficiently on remote jobsites with the crew
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in general construction, roofing, framing or a related labor trade
  • Willing to travel statewide and stay out of town frequently as project schedules require
  • Comfortable working at heights while on ladders and in various outdoor weather conditions
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Proficient in reading a tape measure
  • Ability to follow precise verbal instructions
  • Valid driver's license
  • Respectful with great integrity towards company property and customers property
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform demanding manual labor
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-first attitude
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
