Job description

Mail Clerk - Baltimore, MD (Direct Hire- Full Time, M-F)

 

IST Management Services is sourcing for a direct hire, full-time, Mail Clerk position in Baltimore, MD. This position will work full time hours per day in a financial institution mail room. 

IST is a rapidly growing business process outsourcing (BPO) company and the largest American privately-owned facilities management company.  Founded in 1997, the company is a two-time recipient of the Human Resources Professional Excellence Award granted by the Society for Human Resource Management. We observe a business professional dress code. Must be willing to cross train for potential advancement opportunities!

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (need flexibility to potentially cover earlier shifts when needed)

Compensation: While the compensation for this position is finally dependent upon the candidate’s experience/qualifications, the approximate compensation for this role will be $17.00 to $18.00 USD per hour.

NOTE:

As a requirement of this position, the client will perform an extensive review of applicant credit history.  Applicant must be able to meet client standards to fill position. 


Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Operating mailing, copy and fax equipment; Handling mail/copy/legal documents
  • Providing high levels of customer care and a friendly, cooperative attitude
  • Typing correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, sending and receiving faxes, sorting mail and other administrative tasks as assigned; Shipping & Receiving; Updating employee lists
  • Pick-up and deliver mail, parcels, copy jobs and faxes to customers; Lift large bundles of mail, overnight packages and shipments of paper; Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages
  • Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume production environment; Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines
  • Take direction from supervisor or site manager; Participate in cross-training
  • Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail; Adhere to all safety procedures;Perform other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Customer service related experience preferred Hospitality/ Retail/ Restaurants
  • Professional appearance and demeanor; Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment; Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
  • Ability to meet employer's attendance policy; A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Capable of lifting up to 55 pounds; Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
