Job description

The Town Club is filled with unique landings for your respite after a long day, with the Rooftop Terrace that lets 13 stories mute the clamor of Downtown Los Angeles, or The Grill which brings signature dishes with fresh ingredients from our Urban Garden, meticulously paired with select wines from our expert sommeliers. With event and overnight rooms, gym, food, drink, and more, the Town Club is an oasis in the heart of one of the busiest cities in the world.
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the following:
  • Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material
  • Wrapping laundry items for pickup or delivery to customers and hospitality guests
  • Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols
  • Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment
  • Unloading laundry from commercial dryers
  • Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener
  • Creating laundry tags with identifiable customer information
  • Sending and receiving laundry from outside laundry company and accounting for all items
  • Receiving and sending back linens for banquets, restaurant or special events
  • Conduct linen inventory and keep track of damage linens

Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant or equivalent role
  • Understanding of cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Outstanding organizational, multitasking and time management skills
  • Available to work assigned shifts as needed including weekends and/or holidays

Preferences:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with members and guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently.

Pay Rate: $20.80/hour
