SUMMARY

Employees at the Stonehouse serve food and beverage products to members and their guests as they golf, creating a great member experience


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets members and guests and responds to all questions and concerns and offering assistance when needed.
  • Assists members and guests in food and beverage selection by describing special offerings or menu changes, answering food preparation questions, recording member/guest selections and upselling where possible, relaying orders to others, and identifying any special requests.
  • Delivers completed orders to customers in a timely manner providing appropriate accompaniments or garnishes, ensuring that all orders meet proper presentation and quality standards, packaging take-out orders as needed
  • Provides members and guests with efficient food service by maintaining attractively merchandised display foods, clean tables, counters, dishes, chairs, floors and equipment, sufficient levels of inventory in storage rooms and refrigerators, proper temperatures in refrigerators and coolers (keeping walk-in coolers below 41 Fahrenheit), proper safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
  • Cleans Snack Shop/preparation/serving equipment.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures regarding attendance, timekeeping, dress code and safety.

CLUB HISTORY

The Country Club of Buffalo is the premier country club in Western New York. The Club is rich in tradition and heritage, with many legacy families enjoying membership for generations. The Membership has strong respect and admiration for our employees and considers them like family. The Club enjoys a strong history of employment stability; many employees and managers have multiple decades of tenure at the Country Club.  


The Country Club of Buffalo features a challenging Donald Ross designed golf course, which is consistently ranked and recognized nationally. The Club's amenities include golf, tennis, swimming, trap, skeet, five-stand, and brushwalk sport shooting, six overnight guest rooms, and paddle tennis. The Duane Lyman designed Clubhouse encompasses 55,000 square feet featuring stately living rooms, three dining rooms, and various private party rooms. The Club's revenues are approximately $9 million annually, including $3 million in food and beverage. 

Requirements

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret multiple documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, financial documents, professional journals and procedure manuals. Ability to write complex reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of the Club.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to interpret financial statements and conduct variance reports.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply problem solving skills to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized or changing situations.
