Job description

Nocturnist Physician Opportunity 25 minutes from Raleigh, North Carolina

We are seeking a dedicated Nocturnist Physician to join an established hospital medicine team just outside of Raleigh, NC. This position is designed for physicians who prefer an overnight schedule and enjoy providing high-quality inpatient care in a collaborative hospital environment.

About the Hospital Medicine Team

Become part of a close-knit and growing team of eight physicians with additional support from a dedicated Program Coordinator. The hospital is licensed for 205 acute care beds and includes 52 medical-surgical beds and a 12-bed Progressive Care Unit.

The team has built a stable and supportive practice and is expanding to meet the needs of the hospital and surrounding community.

The hospital offers access to a broad range of specialty services, including cardiology, pulmonology, critical care, orthopedics, and OB/GYN. Physicians benefit from strong multidisciplinary collaboration and the resources necessary to effectively manage medically complex patients.

Position Highlights

  • Dedicated nocturnist position working exclusively overnight shifts
  • 7:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m. schedule
  • 7 days on / 7 days off with scheduling flexibility
  • Open ICU and Progressive Care Unit coverage

Candidate Qualifications
Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physicians
Current BLS and ACLS certification is required.

Compensation

This opportunity offers a highly competitive compensation package with additional bonus potential.

Average annual nocturnist compensation is approximately $350,000.
