Job description

Job Title: MRI Technologist

Location: Houston, TX 77030

Schedule: (07:00 AM - 8:30 PM)

Additional Shift Notes/Requirements: 3-13-hour shifts with rotating Saturdays


Job Summary

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a skilled and dedicated  MRI Technologist to join our growing team in Houston, TX 77030. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and experience operating GE MRI scanners in a hospital environment. This position offers a consistent overnight schedule and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services.


Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Position patients and coils appropriately to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Educate patients on procedure steps, safety guidelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Review and verify MRI safety screening questionnaires prior to scanning.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure timely transmission to PACS.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment, including equipment and supplies.
  • Accurately document patient information in the Radiology Information System (IDX).
  • Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
  • Assist physicians during imaging procedures when required.
  • Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and quality assurance standards.
  • Engage in ongoing continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience using GE scanners in a hospital setting.

Education & Certifications
  • Graduate of an AMA or J.C.E.R.T.-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Valid  State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • ARRT (MRI) Certification required.
  • BLS Certification required.
