About the Role
As a Group Home Program Counselor (DSP), youโll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. Youโll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
- Supporting medical needs and appointments
- Following individualized support and behavior plans
- Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
- Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
- Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

What Weโre Looking For
Weโre seeking reliable, compassionate individuals who are motivated to make a difference.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Connecticut Driverโs License
- Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpfulโbut not required. We provide paid training to help you succeed.
Pay
- $18.12 โ $18.54 per hour
- Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification
- Certification can be obtained after hire if not already certified
