Job description

The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is hiring part-time and full-time Cage Cashier to join our team at Hamburg Gaming in Hamburg, New York. As Cage Cashier, you will handle a large amount of currency, cash checks, and redeem tickets, vouchers, and chips for guests.
Schedule:
4pm - 12:30am
5pm - 1:30am
6pm - 2:30am

Pay
$16.00 - $17.00 / hour

What will you do?
  • Handle large sums of money including validating tickets for guests, distributing cash to team members for jackpots and hand-pays, processing and verifying travelers' checks, approving and cashing checks, and cash advance services
  • Maintain an accurate count of banks
  • Perform regular cash buys to Cage Supervisor
  • Issue and redeem chips; process chip fills and credits
  • Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures

More about you
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain state gaming license
  • Intermediate computer skills including routine data input and record keeping
  • Must possess basic math skills including addition and subtraction
  • Ability to work across departmental lines

Physical requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, kneel, bend and crouch
  • Gaming environment, noise levels may be moderate-to-high
