Their responsibilities typically include checking in late-arriving guests, handling any guest inquiries or emergencies, managing reservations, and overseeing the night audit process. They ensure smooth operations and maintain security throughout the night, as well as handle any administrative tasks required before the next day's staff arrives. Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), reservation software, and basic office tools like MS Office is typically required. Exceptional communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure are crucial soft skills for this role. These skills ensure smooth hotel operations, guest satisfaction, and effective resolution of issues during overnight hours.
