About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager to lead the accelerated implementation of HealthPay24 credit card devices across our hospital and medical group departments in Westchester County and Connecticut. This critical role will manage all technical infrastructure aspects related to the deployment, ensuring seamless integration and readiness prior to upcoming HealthPay24 and Epic go-live dates. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of project management expertise, technical infrastructure knowledge (Desktop, Telecom, Network), and a proven ability to coordinate complex projects in a healthcare environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Leadership & Management:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of the HealthPay24 credit card device implementation project, ensuring strict adherence to accelerated timelines and alignment with go-live dates.
  • Develop, maintain, and track detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, adapting as necessary to evolving project requirements.
  • Prepare and disseminate comprehensive weekly status reports to all relevant stakeholders, outlining progress, key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies and escalating critical items as necessary.
  • Manage project scope changes, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and organizational objectives.

Infrastructure & Technical Coordination:
  • Conduct comprehensive on-site assessments at various hospital and medical group departments in Westchester County and Connecticut to determine network infrastructure requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with IT teams (Desktop, Network) to assess existing communication rooms, identify available network services, and facilitate the activation of necessary network jacks.
  • Determine the need for new low-voltage cabling (LVC) installations at various sites.
  • Coordinate and schedule all necessary LVC installations with internal teams, external vendors, and facility management, managing logistics and timelines from initiation to completion.
  • Serve as a key liaison between IT departments, external vendors, construction management, and facilities teams to ensure coordinated and efficient infrastructure deployment.
  • Actively participate in technical design calls, providing input and ensuring infrastructure requirements are met.
  • Ability to read and accurately markup floor plans for distribution and coordination with other trades (e.g., LVC, electrical, engineering vendors).

Go-Live Support:
  • Provide hands-on, on-site support during HealthPay24 device go-lives, ensuring seamless deployment, connectivity, and immediate issue resolution.
  • Conduct pre-go-live readiness checks and post-go-live validations to confirm operational status.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure deployments in complex environments.
  • Recent experience working on projects alongside construction management, specifically where premise distribution systems (network, telecom cabling) are implemented in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects that are already in the execution phase, requiring adeptness in adjusting schedules and managing ongoing activities.
  • Experience with payment processing systems or Epic go-live preparations is highly desirable.

Technical Acumen:
  • Strong familiarity and practical understanding of Desktop, Telecom, and Network infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to survey existing communications rooms and determine the availability of network services.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and marking up floor plans for coordination purposes.

Required Skills:
  • Solid working knowledge and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to project management.

Travel:
  • This is a hybrid role requiring a mix of remote work and frequent, essential travel to various hospital and medical group departments throughout Westchester County, NY, and Connecticut.
  • A personal vehicle is required for commuting and site visits.

Engagement Terms:
  • W2 only.
