Job description

The Hannon Company is looking for a mechanically inclined individual for our Hannon Electric division in Ambridge, PA. The person selected would learn the ins and outs of electric motor repair and maintenance. Some regional travel will be required, but you would be home most days.


Duties would include the following but not limited to:

  • Travel, mostly local, and interact with customers on a daily basis.
  • Travel and perform repairs on overtime basis to complete repairs as needed. (Overnight travels periodically)
  • All travel and expenses will be at employer's expense.
  • Additional pay with offsite and overnight work.
  • Travel to customer site inspect equipment and schedule future downturn repairs with sales representative.
  • Perform lock out and tag out.
  • Perform AC and DC electric motor removals and installations.
  • Measure/record and trouble shoot mechanical vibrations from data collection.
  • Perform off site dynamic and static balancing.
  • Perform shaft to shaft laser alignments.
  • Perform Preventive maintenance on manufacturing assembly lines.
  • Perform final reports and submit to customer.
  • Available for training to expand capabilities and responsibilities.



Must be able to pass drug screen, physical and background check
