Job description

Drywall Finisher (Restoration) – Sioux Falls, SD

INTEK is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our Sioux Falls team. We are looking for craftsmen with hanging, taping, finishing, and painting experience. From minor patches on small water mitigation jobs to hanging and finishing entire rooms after a fire, your craftsmanship is what helps our clients feel like their house is finally a home again.

Essential Functions:

·         Expertly hang, tape, mud, and sand drywall to ensure surfaces are smooth, seamless, and ready for paint.

·         Manage everything from small-scale patches to large-scale put back jobs involving entire walls or rooms.

·         Masterfully match existing wall textures to ensure repairs are invisible.

·         Safely tear out impacted or damaged materials and prep the area to ensure a clean, sturdy rebuild.

  • Ensure all corners are square, joints are reinforced, and work is built to last.

·         Maintain a dust-controlled containment and keep the workspace clean and professional from start to finish.

·         Identify fire and water damage and document scope of the impacted area.

·         Apply high-quality primers and finishes to complete the restoration process.

·         Work efficiently while maintaining safety standards.

·         Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently

·         Comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding.

  • Complete related restoration tasks including insulation installation, priming, and minor painting or carpentry as needed.

·         Willing to learn water remediation and jump in on the on-call schedule when needed.

·         Able to work independently and with a team.

·         Know your craft well enough to deliver high quality work the first time.

Experience and Education:
